Undoubtedly there are limits, but you are extremely unlikely to hit them
unless you're likely to get yourself a multi-terabyte SAN anytime soon.
I've used a 1.5Tbyte SAN LUN (a large 'disk' as far as the host could
tell) on a Sun E450 ... similar era, without any issues.

UFS itself can't deal with a filesystem larger than 16Tbytes, and the
root filesystem should be less than 2Gbytes (there are exceptions to
this, but unless you're dealing with something modern, it's safest to
stick to 2Gbytes).
