I haven't finished setting it up yet; long hours at work have taken 
priority.  So I can't say that I have a working environment currently.

That said, I was working off 
http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/S10List.html for what cards to buy. 
That page is only for Solaris 10, but handily Sun provides 
http://www.sun.com/io_technologies/S9List.html as well, and that 
indicates that it would, indeed, work.
