Me too, my first hard drive, around 1985 was 5 megabytes.
That's because it was small, the same size as a 5 1'4" floppy drive.
By 1968, I was using 28meg drives, they were the size of washing machines.
An older system had a drive that was much bigger, the platters were about
two feet in diameter and there were several. Every once in a while,
you had to open the drive and clean them with a paddle. I have no idea
of what capacity it was.
