I remember when it was a half a dozen "girls" just out of high school.
The "boys" got to feed printers. It wasn't sexist, the printer paper
boxes were 35-40 pounds and there was only one "girl" who could lift
them.
The reason I call them girls and boys is in those days, you were not
considered adult until you were legally old enough to drink (21).
The place I worked for also had an MSS, but was less reliable all the time
than a bunch of 18 year olds on Monday morning who had spent the weekend
on beer and dope.
