Talking about OSX Hello World:

Source and Universal binary at http://abuse.mooli.org.uk/HelloWorld/

On an Intel Mac:

abuse at paratha:~$ ps -lwwp 10239
UID PID PPID CPU PRI NI VSZ RSS WCHAN STAT TT
TIME COMMAND
   1000 10239 62 0 46 0 234560 22836 - S ??
0:00.46 /Users/abuse/Desktop/Hello World.app/Contents/MacOS/Hello
World -psn_0_36306945

I'm not sure which to balk at more: the 23MB resident, or the 235MB
virtual.

(OK, it's a PyObjC application rather than native ObjC, but I can't
stand the latter and the size didn't actually drop noticably when I
last wrote a direct ObjC application a couple of years ago.)

1993, I'd just got my Amiga 4000 which had a whole *six* megabytes of
memory.
