At that speed it's probably a revision 1 Blue and White G3, or a 
revision 1 or 2 Beige G3 with an accelerator. Both have a bad IDE
controller chip, which I mentioned in another post. It will work with
66mHz DMA transfers, but randomly drops data or stores it in the wrong
place.

The fastest PC drives that will work are 10g IDE hard drives, 16x CD-ROM,
or 4X DVD. Note that it only will work at all with a single (master)
drive on the first channel.
