[rescue] Anyone in France?

My wife and I are seriously considering moving to France for the next
academic year, and I'd like to establish connections with folks in France.
We are just developing our plan, so we don't yet know where we are going to
be.  However, part of our plan is to spend a lot of time exploring France,
so I'd like a note from anyone in France or adjoining countries.
