Only if you are using the antiquated pkgadd version of Jumpstart.
'pkgadd' checks deps and requirements for every package that is
installed.
Kickstart doesn't work that way--it's image based like Ghost. Use
'flar' (flash archives) with Jumpstart, and you'll have pretty much
the same deal.
It kills me when people complain about things on Suns but don't bother
to keep up with Solaris' advancements--like smpatch (admittedly it is
immature, but it is far ahead of applying clusters).
