[rescue] bulk erasing DLT tapes (or, more specifically, NOT)

I thought you had to move the tape through the degausser's magnetic
field or something: just plopping them down and zapping them doesn't do
it.

   Curt, I know I sent you the URL for our degausser last time you
brought this up. Check that web site and see if there's a manual or
something that offers any hints. If you come up dry, I can ask our Tape
Czar and see what he does.
