I've seen USIII-based 280Rs go for $50 or less on eBay, full of RAM.
T1-based systems aren't going to be cheap any time soon - they're still a
current product.  The T1K that Sun donated to SunHELP a year and a half
ago had an estimated retail value of around $8K.
