Personally, I'd bite the bullet and buy an AC power suply at eBay:

Link to $19 listing for mid-spec T1 servers, with $14 Con US S/H...
Mid-spec means 440 MHz CPU, 512 Meg RAM, 18 Gig HD - maybe a bezel...
Heck, at this price you could get two, make one nice one with 1 Gig RAM and 2x
18 Gig HDs...
