Making Solaris 10 looking more attractive by the minute :-) (not that
it wasn't anyway)

but has anyone here done it ? rumor and fact are sometimes separated by
great distances.

do let me know... I'd guess if it can be made to work in Solaris 8 or
9 it may require more hoop jumping.

I selected the IOGear card based on a compatability table I find on sun.com.
It might have been user reported to work... but there were not many listed
as working.... so I shopped ebay off of that list and found the GUF320. As
I recall from installing it, it has one Ali chip that handles all functions.
My dmesg shows:
Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn usba10: [ID 593373 kern.info]
/pci at 1f,4000/usb at 2,3 (usba10_ehci0): ehci_init_ctlr: No SOF's have started

Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] ohci0 is
/pci at 1f,4000/usb at 2
Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn pcipsy: [ID 370704 kern.info] PCI-device:

Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] ohci1 is
/pci at 1f,4000/usb at 2,1
Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn pcipsy: [ID 370704 kern.info] PCI-device:
usb at 2,2, ohci2
Mar 8 15:21:50 delenn genunix: [ID 936769 kern.info] ohci2 is
/pci at 1f,4000/usb at 2,2
I see nothing in dmesg or prtconf -D regarding the firewire.... maybe
Solaris 8
just doesn't have any support for that.

Thanks... I'll keep that link... but I'll probably move to 10.
