I had those BGA problems with my Octane actually. But I wasn't talking
about operational reliability, just performance / architecture.

I was referring to CD-R copies of the IRIX media.

And... the ES40 is going to go for $200 cash to the person who's able
to pick it up the soonest, price highly negotiable. If you can find an
interesting piece of old gear, regardless of value, it'd probably give
it away free in exchange.
