I haven't tried resetting the hardware type in an NVRAM and
seeing what happens. Does Solaris query this NVRAM/config value
for anything important?
As far as installation media goes? Well, I suspect that went in
one of the many "cleaning frenzies" we've had in the computer room
in the past few years. At least we have three-way mirrors on the
machine and disk images stashed elsewhere for when the fecal matter
hits the impeller....
