Well, about half of the "new developments" section of their web page is
about lawsuits instead of products. I suppose that makes sense since
that is such a large part of their business these days.
While most companies get money from their customers by selling things to
them, SCO's plan is to sue them instead. Odd plan.
Not really an odd plan, it's a variant on the old "protection money" or
"blackmail" scheme. Granted, public companies don't often bank their business
practices on it, but it's still been around.
Back to the CP/M stuff: Wasn't CP/M put out under a "freely redistributable
for non-commercial use" license a while ago? Don't know if it's still valid -
let me check what I can find.
It seems that "The Unofficial CP/M Website" has a license to freely
redistribute, enhance, modify, etc. CP/M from Lineo (and formerly Caldera) -
linked at http://www.cpm.z80.de/license.html. Not sure if this is still valid
or not.
