What's nontrivial about it?  When I was working on Android, tcpdump was
just a matter of persuading the Android build machinery to build it,
upon which it Just Worked.  This may well have been a difference
between the level you're working at and the level I was working at -
that is, the question I opened my response with may well have a real
answer - but it does indicate that it surely is possible.
