Proclaim (the IRIX DHCP client) doesn't automatically set some important
features, such as default route and nameserver, by default. There are two ways
around this: first, you can manually set up your network using valid
information (IP address, default route, nameservers, etc.) and then activate
DHCP/Proclaim (the information that Proclaim doesn't get will be fed in from
the config files), the second way is to update the Proclaim configuration
