Yes. With Firewire 400, max theoretical is about 50MB/sec, real world
you'll see a bit over 40MB/sec with relatively low overhead. USB 2.0 would
get real world a bit over 30MB/sec with a lot more CPU overhead. FW800 if
you have it is preferable, since max theoretical is about 100MB/sec, real
world is more like 80MB/sec.
