Until somewhat recently I had an OpenBSD laptop with 192MB of RAM, which
was enough for Xorg, a window manager, web browser, and some xterms,
with RAM to spare.

That said, I don't see the Beige G3 on the supported hardware list.
Maybe it's supported but unconfirmed...
