I have one such flatscreen.  The front of the case has the NEC logo and
calls it a "MultiSync LCD1700V".  The back repeats this and has a
sticker giving its model number as LCD1700V-BK-R; it's also marked
"MANUFACTURED DECEMBER 2001" and "REMANUFACTURED JUNE 2002".  It can be
told to scale or not (in which latter case it letterboxes).
