With just a little work you can get ndbootd running under NetBSD, then
install the TFTP boot block for the 2/50, then install the boot program for
the 2/50, then boot the SunOS MiniRoot from NetBSD. That will give you
enough functionality on the 2/50 to copy the SunOS MiniRoot from the NetBSD
server to the disk on the 2/50, then boot the 2/50 from it's disk, then run
the rest of the SunOS install across the network from the NFS drive on the
NetBSD server.
