The U5/U10 shipped with a known-buggy, known-bad IDE chip. It imposes a
lot of CPU and interrupt load on the system. (x86 PCs running linux were
just as terrible with those CMD chips.)
If you unplug IDE devices and install a SCSI card, a U5/10 isn't all
that different from a U30.
