X4540 video output predominantly magenta, i.e. no green.
Switch it to a different KVM port.  Output color balance goes back to white.
Wait two days.  Output is now back to magenta.
Move it back to the original port.  Output immediately goes back to white.

What on earth is going on here...?!?
