I remember those! We beta-tested the Axil 420 at Digex (we were a
huge Axil customer) that had 1GB of RAM, in 1996. It was an amazing
machine.

The additional memory capacity necessitated changes to the MMU code in
the kernel. Axil shipped a modified copy of SunOS 4.1.4 for those
systems. The only differences were in the kvm tree
(/usr/kvm/sys/sun4m), and as we had merged those at Digex and just added
the Axil 420 as an additional kvm tree.

I wonder which one of us got that Axil 420. I should ask around.

If anyone has one and is trying to get it running, I have a copy of
that kvm tree in my archives.
