Ibve been following this thread and I agree.  Now being just a
bhobbyistb
and not an IT guy (former teacher),  I find the bnewerb stuff to be
slower
than the boldb stuff.  In practical use (like in the classroom) the older
equipment and software just seemed to be quicker.  I never realized it
until students were amazed how fast some of my old equipment was.  Of
course schools never got top of the line equipment anyway.
