Hi

This is from memory a long time ago......

You are correct, the engine was a Xerox unit and was an odd configuration
having just the print part of the electronics inside and relied on the SPARC
system to create the image.

The one thing I remember about them going wrong, was a tendency for the
rotating mirror within the printer to go out of spec and having to adjust a
pot within it to bring it back into spec and hence not error (this was fairly
easy to access the pot). I had to do this on a few of them from memory.
