There's one potential snag still, though. Not every LVD drive contains the
necessary circuitry/firmware to allow for SE compatibility. Fewer and fewer as
time progressed. Any given drive may have to be forced to SE mode by jumper,
or may forego the compatibility mode entirely. Best to check the spec sheet,
though (unlike with mixing HVD and anything else) you're unlikely to break
anything by trying.
