Ibve learned a bit about Data General AViiON systems recently. It may want
9600/7/E/1 rather than 8/N/1 on its serial port for a terminal. Control-C or
break during a boot attempt may also bring it up. If itbs a workstation, it
may require not having a keyboard attached to use serial console.

At the consolebs SCM> prompt, control-i is supposed to cause it to
reinitialize the battery-backed RAM (which DG called NOVRAM) so if you can
manage to get a prompt at all, that may be all you need to do to boot the rest
of the way.

What model AViiON is it and whatbs the configuration?
