My old Origin 3200 cluster (myranet, no router bricks) was completely
unused when I got it. It sat on the loading dock down the hall from me for
the entire warranty period because "nobody here knows how to set it up". I
had it up a few hours after I got power to it the day after I found out
about it and it was exceptionally useful for the folks that used it (it
replaced Blue Mountain for some very specific work for some stuff that
needed to get done when moving to ASCI Q).
This one doesn't surprise me.
I still see SGI crated material from a decade ago or more on another
loading dock. No idea what's in there, but the crate is huge.
