Thanks Peter - that worked - thanks. Its now reset it to 1280x1024x76 - not
ideal for the LCD but it seems to work :)

Thanks Mike - ls -l /dev/fb seems to give

/def/fb -> /devices/SUNW,ffb at 1e,0:ffb0

I guess thatbs correct as the creator fb ?
