[rescue] Fwd: Which current Linux works on SB2000?

Interesting, I have a sunfire 280R (Which is a Sun Blade 1000 in a 4U 
chassis), and have got modern Linux running on it, but not the ISP2200, 
I just use an external 711 SCSI enclosure.

 From what I can tell, the SB2000 is mostly the same machine as the 
SB1000/280R, so should work.

However! The Linux SPARC port is quite poor, and runs on relatively few 
machines, it generally only runs on low end machines and coolthreads 
(T-Series) servers.

Even though it runs on my 280R, it's not completely stable, I haven't 
had it panic, but random process will crash in the background, and it 
will sometimes get stuck on shutdown. My other fireplane system (a V490) 
it kernel panics on boot, same with my E3000's and any multiprocessor 
sun4m system (although I think it boots if you less than 128MB of RAM).

The BSDs are significantly higher quality if you just want a modern OS 
running on it.
