~20 Sun boxes need new home - Near Dallas/Ft Worth

I've got roughly 20 Sun boxes that need new homes. Mostly SPARC but some 1U X86/X64 boxes. I made an early post regarding my SPARCServer 1000e that generated a hand full of back channel messages. Right now, it seems to make more sense if I just make an initial (but high level) post here to the list to judge interest.

Location + Me - I'm ~30 miles north of the DFW metro area. Zip code 75077. Without going into details regarding my health that no one wants to hear here on this list, I need to find new homes for this stuff, so it will be one less thing $WIFE will have to deal with.

High level/semi-accurate list off the top of my head.

(1) SPARCServer 1000e + (3) SPARCstorage Array boxes. Pics top of page here:

Interesting story - very big - stands as tall as my washing machine.
.....................................
(1) SparcStation 10 - well equipped but not maxed out. Shining star on this is the 24-bit ZX Leo graphics card - occupies (2) Sbus slots.
.....................................
(2) Netra T1
(1) Netra E1
(1) Netra X1
(1) Sun V120
(2) Sun 280R (pretty sure 750 Mhz CPU(s)
(2) Sun V445's
(2 or 3) Sun T5120's
(1) T5140
(1) V20Z - memory max to 16Gb - bios/firmware needs reflashed
(1) T2000 - great box but 4-core CPU
(1) T1000 - This was Mr. Bill's box that Sun gifted him-8 core CPU
(1) Ultra 20 - great ATX box for upgrading to modern components
(several) SunRay 1's
(1) SunRay 1G
(1) Sunray 2FS
(2) Sun X2200's
(1) Sun X4200

* box of Sun branded Fiber Channel/FCAL disks - mostly (if not all) 72 Gb - Fugitsu and Seagate - I had these for the 280R's

The above is a *rough* inventory list - if/as there is interest - I will get more accurate info - down to serial numbers

I also have some Apple stuff that needs homes and also some networking stuff. Mostly Cisco routers and switches. And an older set of F5 Big-IP load balancers - by older, I mean these run F5's BSD Unix code

Delivery/Shipping - 3 comments

* if you're around the DFW metro area I can probably meet you anywhere at a time we can agree on.

* me driving - I'd probably be willing to drive upto 100 miles or so to meet someone somewhere if you're willing to foot gas money for my truck.

* shipping - same story as most + my health twist - most of this stuff weigh's a ton, and most aren't interested in shipping. I'm fighting health issues, and its not in me to crate big systems up and ship. If there's something you have to have, and you want to coordinate logistics, I'm happy to work with you within my current abilities.

Price - for most of this, the same price as I'd expect if I were acquiring a collector system from any of you. FREE. We are just caretakers of these systems, and I just want to find a good home for these for someone (or a computer museum) who will love them, or regift them to someone who will. Don't want them to end up in the trash, or with a reseller who would part these out and ask 10 or 20 times what they are worth.

Exception - Mr Bill's T1000 - Bill charged me $$$$ for that system, and I'd like to get something out of it if I can. Also note - if you watched Bill struggle with this box at home due to noise, I possess a copy of the final T1000 firmware patch for these boxes - 139435-10.zip

This firmware is suppose to slow down the fans and bring the noise level to live-able levels.
