According to Deskthority, the Type 4 uses a KeyTronic foam and foil
keyswitch. The Type 5 uses Fujitsu keyswitches (doesn't say what
version), and Type 3 uses Oak Full-Travel Membrane.
On the topic of recreating Sun keyboards, the question then is, how
important are matching the keyswitches, versus keeping the layout buy
substituting another switch?
Also, if the connectors don't cost too much, it might make sense to
support the Sun keyboard protocol as well as USB.B Perhaps also
bluetooth could be considered.
I in particular would like to see a recreation of the Sun Compact 1 (I
believe it came with the Voyager), which despite looking like a Type 5
variant was made by KeyTronic instead of Fujitsu.
