I recently upgraded a pool ("expanding a ZFS pool: leave slack 
space?" from last month) and went with a couple of "HGST 
HMS5C4040BLE640 4TB" drives for $60/each. The "random bloke in a pub" 
didn't know if they were SMR or not, and I don't know how to tell. No 
problems yet. They're 5700 RPM, which seems a bit non-enterprisey.
