Thanks!
So I have the online service manual:
https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19121-01/sf.x4500/819-4359-19/appd-pinouts.html#5
0647087_42729
The High-Speed Dock Connectors specifically, I/O to disk backplane.
I have the X4540, yes, it looks like Sun completely changed the pinout but
Ibm confusedb&
My X4540 has two of these data connectors, 144 position (Molex 75019-0020),
I assume the X4500 has the same connectors, they have 3 rows (A,B,C) of 48
pins.
So on to the confusion, the X4500 has two b144-pinb tables in the manual,
one for each connector (J24 to J49[Table D-7] & J25 to J51 [Table D-8])
But the X4540 only has one table in the manual (D-9, J24 to J49), either
Ibm missing something (its late here) or the second table is missing.
You might think, maybe use the X4500 D-8 table for the X4540 but if you do
it doesnbt make sense, do a browser bfind" for DISK40 at the above URL.
It
finds 8 entries, 5 under the X4500 section and 3 under the X4540, you want
5 pins per disk (TX pair, RX pair and Activity LED), the X4540 table only
has the RX pair and the Activity LED.
So I thought maybe the DISK40 TX pair are at the same position as the RX
pair but on the second connector?
So confused, please help.
Cheers
Richard
