Not sure about Suns but I have used TFTP to run OBP commands to reset the password on a Motorola Powerstack machine with advice from this list. I think the only thing I needed to do was to put the OBP commands in a text file that qould be served as the default for netbooting this host. A helpful Japanese guy taught it here.
