From memory, OpenSSL and SSH can be built to use h/w for symmetric and
asymmetric crypto, as well as RNG (OpenSSL calls them "engines").B I
suspect that same true for LibreSSL, NSS, and others.

If memory serves, the chips are strictly RSA (so no ECC stuff).B I
cannot remember whether that has AES on it or just DES.
