It's pretty annoying that way, and seems like the silliest sort of
oversight, given that 32-bit-clean Macs were the obvious way forward
when the card came out.

Running the IIe Card is generally disruptive enough to warrant having a
second system disk for the purpose. The IIe software is light enough
that a 6.0.8 boot disk was what I used half the time on an LC II--a
shame an LC 475 won't run it.
