They'll fix it shortly after we replace the telephone with something
else.  The current crop of folks in the college-to-young-professional
age range are nearly there.

It'll be a half-hearted death-rattle effort like when the USPS finally
got shipment tracking on packages a decade after all the other companies
did.  "Hey, look where your package was three days ago!"

And it's not like there's any lack of prior art on how to solve this.
"Martian" filtering is effectively 100-level course material anymore.

It's the same argument pertaining to government generally.  If you can
prevent money from influencing power, you'll have good government.  Now,
if anyone could ever manage to accomplish that, it'd be the crowning
achievement of our species.
