If you come across one - there were quite a few older HP LCD displays that had a sun mode. L1950 was one IIRC. These would display 1152x900. I have one of these and have it on the workbench as it seems to work with some of the (now weird) Mac resolutions as well as the usual VESA modes.

The Belkin adapters were also quite good IIRC and have used a couple of these over the years.
