as far as I know Sun issued the replacement side skins and vents
if you wanted to upgrade a stock 1000 to any SuperSPARC II.
Apparently they changed the cooling going from the 1000 to the
1000E. There is probably some reserve, but I would rather not
upgrade an original 1000 to the max SM81 config without those
replacement vents.
