Which would not be a concern, except for the loss also of the
facilities for making more. :-(

"Fixed-frequency" is relevant to just the control electronics.  Given
the tube and the yoke, the rest is nothing but electronics hackery.

That's not to say a lot of people want to do that hackery, or even are
competent to.  But still.
