If you're talking IP, then I agree. For other protocols, not so sure.

I've read about SunLink being a complete family of communications options. I'm curious to explore the SNA capabilities of that, once I can obtain it.

I've gained renewed interest on my U1 Mod. 140 after years of neglect though "reading" old computer magazines from the late 1980s onwards. Currently I'm in 1992 and amidst the infighting of AT&T and the Net/2 derived BSD variants. :-)

I usually am way more into the AS/400 platform (and partly its successors), though. Have a look at https://try-as400.pocnet.net if interested.
