Hi,

You may be interested in SunPC 4.2 for Solaris 2.4/2.5/2.5.1/2.6. If so, the
ISO (also containing the final SunPC 4.2 Jumbo patch) and the User Manual
are available from my website - https://fido.aalin.co.uk/sunpc

Subject: [rescue] sunpc

Hello all

I'm trying to install SunPC 4.1 on a Sparcstation 2 to see if I can get my
Sbus 486SX card running. I've got an original Sunpc 4.1 CD.

The docs and the software are a bit out of sync, and I'm not having much
success.

I suspect though I'm missing something or not installing things correctly.
The manual talks about running 'sunpc_install' but this seems burried on the
disk in a folder called

/SUNWsunpc/reloc/SUNWsunpc/bin/sunpc_install

it seems a bit weird to run something from that folder.

When I run this - it complains that it cant find the kernel. I assume this
is because the Solaris 2.5 kernel is /kernel/genunix not /kernel/unix ?
There is an option to put the kernel path in , which works, but the script
then fails to install the driver.

Any idea what I"m missing here?
