The ss20 is/was a nice sparc box - good to see it still running!
Could I ask what NetBSD version you were using? There have been
improvements to the sx/cg14 drivers since netbsd-9 (and possibly some
since netbsd-10), so if you're trying netbsd-9 you might find better
luck from the netbsd-10 link at http://nyftp.netbsd.org/
You may also find someone who knows more about NetBSD's handling of
this on port-sparc at netbsd.org :)
