I'm not in the area, but I have a working 150M working tape drive.  I 
think it will read all but the earliest of 1/4" tape through 150M.

I have used a program under Linux to image tapes as I went through much 
of my 1/4" tape collection.

I'd say it is probably nearly a guarantee that the belts in those tapes 
will be stretched out at a minimum if not deteriorated or broken.

Still, as long as the tape was rewound, there is a decent chance at 
recovering images from the tape.  Might need to use a donor band in the 
tape cartriedge (I had to do that with almost all of my tapes).
