Are you familiar with SGI's "Techpubs"?  It was what they called their
documentation collection.  The original website is long gone, but there
are several mirrors on-line these days.  One is:

The "Indigo2 Workstation Owner's Guide" has the info you'll need to get
at the RAM in Chapter 3.

There's *tons* of useful info in the other Techpubs manuals, too!
