Thanks for the reply Ron - yeah I saw that Digi article as well.  I’m running NetBSD 9.3 at the moment.

I think it can be disabled in OBP too ?  I really want to have a hardware solution if possible.

I would love to get my hands on one of those old NuData devices and hopefully reverse engineer it.
