Before the cheap no-name brands popped up, M-Systems, PQI, SunDisk/SanDisk were king of the IDE SSD market. They are usually low-end CF speed, typical industrial price tag, and high wear endurance.

SanDisk at one point got mad about people using their Extreme series CF cards in an IDE adapter at like 1/10 the price, and intentionally broke native IDE mode on...Extreme IV I think? That was the day I switched to Transcend for industrial CF cards for custom embedded and router/firewall builds.
