[rescue] Upgrade ALOM firmware (SF v240) - error

Good to hear,
I had a quick look at the alom{boot,main}fw files in the update packages
and they are normal s-record files,
that is to say they are just the binary image directly from the flash,
if you find a server running a newer version of ALOM it can be read off
the TSOP Flash chip and converted to an srec file and
the normal flashupdate utility can be used to update any other server of
the same generation (either hw0 (V210,V240,V440, etc) and hw8
(V245/V445, etc)).
It may be a lot easier to find a Sunfire with 1.6.10 ALOM than the
original update package.

Especially in regards to the ALOM, as Sun never required a contract to
download it, it was just on their site, even more surprising that they
are so hard to find!
